In my work, I use choreography to explore the social nature of performance making. Through conversation and negotiation, I cooperate with performers to design improvisational scores that reflect our shared interests, while also making room for disagreement and individual agency. I enjoy working with people whose skills, training, and values are different from my own, including people who do not consider themselves to be artists.
